Normally I just shave the front, but I decided to go ahead and try the back this time. Well, now it's all red. Not my whole butt, just in between my cheeks. And it's not like red bumps or anything, it's just completely red. It doesn't really hurt, but it doesn't look the greatest. What is this, and how can I get rid of it, or prevent it in the future?

Oh dear God, step AWAY from the razor...

What would ever possess you to do something like that in the first place??? Ever hear of waxing?????

My guess is, you've got heat rash. The next couple of weeks will be quite interesting for you. I'd suggest getting some ointment... FAST.

The hair folicles are irritated from your shaving expedition. It should go away if you keep the area nice and clean. You do realize now that you have shaved your bum....its gunna become even hairer, your bum is gunna start to itch too. Man what made you think to do that! were you that hairy?
