Mailing Centres use Postal codes to break down areas where mail is sorted. The Postal code identifies where you live in citys,towns etc. A system used worldwide to make sure you get your mail. However they have not yet invented a machine that actually id's your street address and postal code together, so this is all done by hand!!!(manually) Progress!!

a zip code or postal code is the same thing, a series of five digits assigned to different areas of cities throughout the US. countries like Canada and Mexico also use zip codes.

a postal code is a code that seperates diffrent areas in the same town or city eg: on the soap eastenders there was a club called E20, that was the postal code for that area.
