Yes. This is a scientifically-established fact. Because of the enormity of the task that the unconscious mind performs in our bodies, it is a powerhouse of almost unimaginable proportions. One human mind has more capacity than all of all the world's computer equipment combined. The control of our autonomic functions, such as heart rate, breathing, etc. are all under the jurisdiction of our unconscious mind, which is infinitely more powerful than our comparatively puny conscious mind. It is here that deep-seated commands ( the result of our spoken words) are carried out in an amazing way.

The mind transmits and receives at a frequency roughly equivalent to an A.M. radio. A simple repetitive verbal command, such as "I am a clumsy oaf" is recognized by the unconscious mind and it sets about to fulfill this order. Likewise, when a person grabs ahold of this science and begins to speak a different language, such as, "I will be a multi-millionaire by the age of 40", the unconscious mind begins to beam this message world-wide, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Mysteriously, people begin to enter your life and events start taking place that tend to bring about this reality.

It is a wise man that takes verbal commands to the unconscious mind very seriously, and uses this power to uplift, and not berate, his fellow man and himself.

When you declare something to be, you are convincing yourself, in a way, and unless you take another look at it, the idea you stated can be reinforced over time.
If you state something publicly and forcefully you might then think your reputation is on the line unless you stick with it, even though you might have doubts about it later. In fact, the more you doubt it the stronger you may be likely to defend it when the matter comes up.
The problem is that people tend to see a change of mind as a weakness, when it is more likely a sign of personal growth.

When you think and speak in a positive way, that is a form of convincing yourself too, so the results don't have to be negative.

Words do shape the future. Few could have imagined in the last century that people can talk on cell phones in the future. But the words in the planning sheets and blueprints of the scientists who discovered cellphones made it a reality.

your future depends on many things:
your will
your aim
your goals
your brain
your mouth

most imptly: yourself

as shallow as this may sound, people do judge us for what we do, our body language, but more importantly on what we say and how we say it. this leads up to the opportunites given in life. many a time, most opportunities need to be grab by the gift of the gab. actions then proceed after that. so it does affect, up to a certain limit.

to a certain extent, yes. If we say, "I'm such a loser, I am going to totally flub this job interview," then you probably will because your brain will hear you and try to fulfill your prophecy.

If you say, "I can figure out a way to solve this problem," then your brain will start working on it. Of course, if the problem involves nuclear physics and you flunked out of high school, then you will not succeed. Like I said, "to a certain extent."

We largely fulfill our own expectations, and we largely speak the same. We can change our expectations, to a point, by speaking differently.

Most certainly they can. If you call the police and tell them that you are going to murder your parents and you go on to explain who, what, where, when, and how..... Your future is going to be in protective custody.

That example takes it to the extream, but if one voices a belief or opinion that offends others they can eventually be shut out of opportunities, and that would alter one's desired future.

I think that our words are reflections of our desires and intentions. So, those desires and intentions are the motivating forces that direct our actions; the words simply reflect those.
