If she has a hymen, then she's probably a virgin, but the only real appearance that tells if she's not is if she appears to be having sex.
Sorry no easy answers for you. Try asking her, if you think you're in a position to ask such a question, it's probably more reliable than archaic methods.

There is no way. People think that all virgins have hymens and people who aren't virgins don't. But often, when a woman is a little girl her hymen breaks from bicycle riding or anything else. There's no surefire way to tell... sometimes even a nonvirgin will have a hymen because it's possible for it to just be really flexible.
