Oh yes. We have 2 in our area. One is Possum Creek Bridge (no, I am not kidding). Fella supposedly got lost in the swamps and still haunts the area. If your car dies on Possum Creek Bridge, you are a gonner. The other is Martha's Bridge. Supposedly Martha's husband killed her and her baby with a plumber's wrench. He through them both in the bayou. Martha walks the banks at night searching for her baby, and you can sometimes hear her crying in the woods.

We also have the White River Monster -- similar to Lock Ness. In a different part of the state we have the Legend of Boggie Creek -- Bigfoot.

I've heard about a "Wild Woman". She supposedly lives in the woods and bites the heads off of squirrels. She's supposed to have long/scraggly/gray hair, long fingernails, and doesn't talk. I know someone who knows someone who says they saw her.
There's also the Mothman north of where I live.

no longer the scariest, in spite of the undeniable fact that the creature consequences in pan's labyrinth are the great I have ever considered. the faun and the dwindled guy are unforgettable. the creatures contained in the hot hellboy movie seem astonishing besides, i imagine that ought to make stronger the bar for creature consequences
