ARE you saying that ONLY GAY men would write poems or a man would have to be gay to write poems?
What a J. A.&*&^^*^%##$!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poems can be written by anyone with a romantic creative heart.
And I can hardly wonder what you would write as a poem...
Here is one for you BIG O with the little package!
Roses are red and sometimes yellow,
you sir are one small minded fellow...
Closed is your heart
and it is no wonder,
you are as romantic
as a gassy long fart!
Asking women for best sexual stories
when is an Orgasm real or when it is fake
calling me fat and ugly was your biggest mistake!
Making fun of women you do not know
will make your heart with toxins glow...
don't step out of line
you will never be mine...
with the next full moon you will turn into a goon!
Never to marry never to wed
you will be lucky to take a slug to bed!
GOOD NITE
FAIR DAY
Now off with you fool
and this is not play
in my poems with each rhyme
comes deepest magic of our time!

It's an incredibly special feeling to have someone think about you so deeply as to write a poem just for you. And it's not unmanly--although Wordsworth had a lot of qualities I found irritating, his affection for women that shone forth in his poetry made me like him. What about the Browning's. He got her away from a father who virtually invalided her. I've only ever had one poem written to me by a guy, and I still can recite it by heart--many years later.
Go the master-Shakespeare-he was neither unmanly nor gay.
Poetry is as manly an art form as there is. It's just a rare man who has that gift of seeing as poet sees and being able to discipline it onto the paper.

Women love poetry because it shows a man cares about her enough to put some thought and effort into it...to share feelings he may not express in ordinary conversation. They feel they are connecting with their guy on a deeper emotional level. You keep on writing.

Write it by all means! We women love that! There aren't many men that will write poetry for a woman. Do it and she will surely appreciate it.

Why do you think writing poems and sending it to the girl you have the hots for means you're gay? It's the one that don't know how to write one, truly is gay, wouldn't you agree? Because you do that, it just go to show that you do like girls. May be your gay friends are jealous of the girl you like, and didn't want to loose you just in case they think some day you would turn into one, which will never happen in your life time. Make sense, yes?

How romantico. My dad does love songs. He's a singer/bass player.
By the way, why would writing poetry make you gay? There are tons of great male poets.

SInce poetry reflect the inner depths of our hearts, I would beleive if a man were to write me poetry, he would certainly be in touch with himself, and his inner emotions, and would not feel inhibited with expression.

My boyfriend writes poetry for me on occasion and I am usually deeply touched by his expression. However, it's gotta be tasteful. I got one from an old boyfriend once filled with vulgarities. That's not poetry, I said to him, that's pornography.

thats really good you feel inspired. when you do, just write your heart out and give it to the women, it's best when you are most inspired since thats the truest thing, and women adore that.
