IT HASN'T SANK IN YET, RIGHT NOW YOU ARE IN DENIAL, WHEN IT SINKS IN YOU WILL GO THROUGH ALL KINDS OF EMOTIONS, IT'S NOT EASY BELIEVE ME YOU WILL NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TOO. I'M SORRY ABOUT YOUR FRIEND.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, Jose. I'd also like to say I'm sorry for your loss. In my experience, the reason you're not sad yet is because the news hasn't caught up with both your head and your heart. It's also quite likely that you're in shock. The news will seep in, and when it does, expect to cry a river as you move through the stages of grief.

Shattering events usually produce a numbness before the tragedy sinks in and gives way to pain, discomfort an/or confusion. This could be the case regarding your friend.
Or perhaps sadness is coming about you under a different cloak. It may possible that this tragedy is allowing you to know unknown aspects of your personality you're not yet aware of.

it probably hasn't sunk in yet. i know that when my nephew died in a car accident at ten, it took a long time for the fact to hit home. it wasn't until i saw the casket that i realized that he was really gone. the other probability is that you handle sad a different way. i will say that when i am sad i automatically tuck my feelings away and pretend there not there until eventually they really aren't there any more.
I'M REALLY SORRY ABOUT YOUR FRIEND!!!

Because it hasn't hit you yet. You're still in shock. That happened when my friend passed away..One of our friends was emotionless about the situation until about 2months later, it finally hit him then. When something like that happens it's so hard to belive that it just doesn't hit some people right away.

Because the human brain gives you time to digest bad news...there are various stages of grief.....if you cared for this friend I'm afraid that grief will kick in....it is healthy don't be afraid of it.......if it never comes don't let guilt take over.

if you are on any kind of anti-depressents it is hard to feel emotions, if your not on any anti-depressents, then most likely it will hit you later.....sometimes that happens when someone dies...sorry about your friend
