My (now) husband came home on a Tuesday and said, 'I love you and YES, I want to marry you.' That Friday we got up early and high-tailed it to the local courthouse. We both took the day off from work and were the first ones in line to file for our marriage license. We filled out our forms, paid $30 to the clerk and then went across the street to the magistrates office where we waited for about 40 minutes (he was running late). When he got there he had us say our vows, pronounced us man and wife, we paid him $30 (all in cash of course) and then we went home, went to the gym and worked out, and then got on a plane and went to New York to break the news to my mom. The next day my husband took me to Tiffany's on 5th Avenue and bought me my wedding ring.

I married my best friend and have never been happier. We got married in that way because it just seemed right and was the best option for us. Fancy weddings, white dresses, and spending loads of cash for ONE day just isn't our style. Why not save the money and make a down payment on a house?

We got married at a ranch that my father in law manages. It was right next to a big lake on the ranch under some big pretty trees. It was so awesome. We picked the place because of how pretty the sight was, being right next to the lake and all.

traditionally, the bride and her relatives get to verify on... yet traditionally, the bride's relatives also will pay the marriage prices. If the groom or his dad and mom are overlaying 1/2 the costs (or more effective), then it may be worse than churlish to jot down them out of the alternative. in case you 2 are regularly figuring out to purchase your human being wedding ceremony, then it truly is politic to verify on an section your households might want to discover accessible, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is not needed. in case your dad and mom are paying, then they have an rather good type of say. i'm sorry it truly is so crass as all that, coming down regularly to who will pay for what, inspite of the undeniable fact that it really is the way it truly is. If actually each individual is splitting the costs more effective or a lot less calmly, then you definately all get a say, and also you all ought to compromise. optimistically, inspite of the undeniable fact that, they are going to take heed to you and your fiance. it is your wedding ceremony, in spite of everything!

We married in a park near the Lake. We choose that because we are not religious, and it was free. Plus very beautiful!
