I can understand your frustration about the issue of Israel and the bombing that is happening in Lebanon. There is never a good reason for killing - from either side.. Hammas or Israel. What is wrong is that no one is interested in understanding their enemy and looking for ways to live in peace despite our differences. What we can do an people who are not involved directly in the conflict is to pray to our higher power or "God" who can move men to see things different from what their ancestors chose. It takes something beyond the power of mankind to move the hearts of men. This is where pray and the power of pray - it is a divine mystery that we join together in from all types of religion to call on our maker to see a better way one that we cannot imagine. So, despite what is happening in Israel and Lebanon - or Iraq - we want the killing to stop.. and lifting our voices in prayer can offer our hearts to seek a way that is not about killing but about learning to live in peace despite our differences and hatred for our brother. I hope this helped.. I know I have strong feelings about wanting the killing to stop and believe that only a power greater than mine can do that.. stop the killing of innocents people.

If peace comes, wouldn't that mean that BOTH SIDES would have to stop shooting? Otherwise it is not peace. So praying for the peace of Israel would affect everyone involved.

Don't pray for peace...pray that man will find intelligence and compassion. Then peace is just a part of the pie.

You have to remember that Israel is defending itself against a terrorist organization that has consistently said it will not stop untill Israel is wiped off the face of the earth.
Hammas is hiding in the middle of women and children... using them as shields... and firing rockets at israel from their hiding places. Hammas has been using suicide bombers to kill innocent civilians in israel for as long as I can remember. Israel is only defending itself.
