Do you mean the monster or the Doctor who created it? According to the original story, the monster (named Adam) was very gentle, although easily upset. Dr. Frankenstein, on the other hand, was a seriously disturbed individual. I suppose in either case I'd want to make a quiet, slow retreat to a well-lit area.
