An inorganic compound is a chemical compound that is not an organic compound. Inorganic compounds come principally from mineral sources of non-biological origin. The modern definition of inorganic compounds often includes all metal-containing compounds, even those found in living systems. Although most carbon compounds are classed as organic, cyanide salts, carbon oxides and carbonates are usually considered to be inorganic.

Think about it, an organic compound is one that appears naturally in nature. To be more specific it is one that contains hydrogen and carbon. An example of this would be alcohols.
So an inorganic compound would be one that doesn't contain both hydrogen and carbon. These are usually non living things, like rocks. Any carbide would be an example of an inorganic compound

Organic means with carbon so anything with carbon will do and inorganic means without carbon so any compound that has no carbon it it will work look at the periodic table to help you with it.
