Sure you can. Some faiths may tell you no, but the choice is ultimately up to you. (The only one I know of that says that is Muslim-I think)

This can be an easy question or a tricky question depending on how much your faith means to you. By all means, I think that is an issue that needs to be settled before marriage, especially if you plan to have children. I do think it's important for a couple to be able to share their faith together and attend religious services together. I think that faith helps to bond you as a couple and most faiths have specific stipulations about what defines a husband and wife and what their responsibilites are to each other. I happen to be a Baptist and have some very good friends who are SDA. I love them as friends, but would have to think long and hard about trying to live in a household with faiths of two different ideas.

If you are Christian, the bible tells us "not to be unequally yoked". And for good reason. People's beliefs are something they die for - (just look at the middle east).
Marrying someone who is totally opposite in faith is asking for a life of heartache. If you are serious about your faith, then it should be the #1 issue that you share in your relationship with your spouse.
It's like trying to be in a household where one believes in permissive parenting vs. the other demanding authoratative parenting. There will be constant struggle and upset.
Of course you CAN choose to do anything you want.
However, my faith tells me that there is One who is wiser than I am and when I follow His will rather than my own, I will find that my life is much richer and more joyful.
God bless.

Sure you can, but it really depends on how each person
feels about their religion. If each are really strong in their
religion and that religion is completely different, then it can
and will cause problems, it will take compromise and alot
of love. One shouldn't go into it thinking one or the other will change because it won't happen. Basically if you both believe the basic principles and believe in God, then
this subject should be talked about long before a wedding
takes place.

It makes a big difference in everything when a couple worships together. I would discourage it because it can cause problems & the bible talks about being unequally yoked together, in the end what God says is all that matters.

yes, but you have to be open minded and so does both of your families because its to easy to blame problems on the fact that you are from two different backrounds. as long as your direction is the same and religion is not a high priority. it will be ok. my husband is roman catholic and i am jewish. we both resepct each others religion.

Yes. I am Catholic and my husband is agnostic, bordering on atheist. However prior to getting married we discussed how we plan to raise our kids spiritually. He agreed that they are raised Catholic, so we're both OK with that.

Of course you can my finance is Muslim and I am a Christian and we love each other very much. Our relationship is great and he makes me very happy and vice versa. Your faith is only a problem if you left it be one.
