You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.
You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.
To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.
It will solve your all search related problems.

Use control panel or the Tools button at the top of your IE page. got to the internet options and clear your history trail or you can manually delete them although if they are frequently visited sites they may reappear.

well i have sbc yahoo browser and u can go to the option at the top where it says: sign in...click that then go to browser options..towards the bottom u should see clear search. on internet explorer go to tools then internet options but your only option is to clear history (all the history)

Open Internet Explorer. Go to the menu bars "Tools" then "Internet Option". Under "General" tab >>> click "CLEAR HISTORY" click "YES">>> "DELETE COOKIES" click "OK".
Click "Content" tab >>> click "Auto complete" >>> Click "Clear Form" click "OK" >>> Click "Clear Password" click "OK".
That will solve your problem.

Tools...internet options...clear history...THEN you need to click 'OK' at the bottom of that box.
You can also try this...Tools... internet options...content (tab at top of box) ...auto complete (at bottom)
clear forms not passwords, just forms. THEN click 'OK'
