I LIKE to answer the more serious questions because I am very concerned with current events and politics.
I answer the fluff questions because they make me smile and I enjoy taking a break from "the hard stuff".

i tend to stik with the fluff, but when a tough one comes up and people REALLY need help, i do some tough ones.

I tend to answer more of the serious questions, especially where I feel I have something worth adding in to the mix, or where I feel I might be helpful to some one, but like you, once in a while a fluff question tickles my funny bone and I can't resist answering with whatever quirky idea hits my brain cells.
I tend to work on one area for a while and then go on to another. I feel like I'm learning a bit about other people and how they think, what bothers them, what's important to them. It's fun most of the time, but sometimes some of the questions make me feel for the other person sympathy for what they are going through.
This thing sort of turns into a hobby. I like it.

I answer a little bit of both. I'm either here(in entertainment in general) or in the religion category, and sometimes I'll answer in books & authors. When I start get carried away answering fluff after fluff, then I know it's time to take a break! :)

I answer more of fluff right now i used to answer serious question when i was new to this Yahoo answer thing but fluff are more funny and interesting i even ask fluff.

The fluff stuff is fun, but I concentrate on the deeper and more meaningful issues because I love helping people and making a real and positive difference in their lives.

I answerer more serious questions when I'm having PMS. It helps me to vent and express my opinions without the fear of turning off those closest to me.
I like to answer the "fluff" questions when I think I might have something funny or sarcastic to say.

To me it really doesn't matter what the content of the question is because I generally answer any question I can relate to or it appeals to me-you know what I mean? If the question has no substance, I sometimes still make a quick smart @$$ comment just to get a good laugh outta them or for the 2 points. Either way, I'm satisfied!

Mostly i like to asnwer fluff questions .. In serious questions if i think am able to give the answer then i do . Otherwise i leave it.

about half and half... some hard ones... just skip others look of info and answer... fluff.. always make some kind of point... after all im getting 2 points at least ...right..

Serious questions are more interesting and challenging.
Fluff (like Who's going to win the Super Bowl" are more fun.
