Is it funny to you when your child runs into the bathroom while you are sitting on the toilet? How do you usually react to that?

ummm only the first time..was it funny... after that.... no way... told them hellloooo bathroom check get out .. next time knock

I have always had an open door bathroom in my house, when there's nobody else there, because it helped teach my daughter about using the toilet in the first place. She's three now, and I guess I just don't mind, it's not a big deal to me at this age.

We have a open door policy except for if it's my husband because I have daughters. But if I'm going to the bathroom my girls come in all the time. It's no big deal.
What is so funny about it?

Why would that be funny? How you react usually depends on the age of the child. If you have young children in the house you usually don't lock the door. It's not a big deal, nor is it funny. If they are teenagers, then it depends on their sex. If the same sex child bursts in on you, it's still not a big deal nor funny. If the opposite sex child bursts in on you, you must scold him/her to remember to knock, and no, it's not funny.

my child always does it, but then he runs out and shuts the door and sits in front of it making it difficult for me to get out of the bathroom

My bathroom is like a community center. Whenever I'm in there my kids finally decide to talk to me about there day, or want to tell me a story. I just got used to it, no matter how many times I tell them it's a private place, they just don't listen.

You don't have kids do you? I can't do anything in the bathroom by myself, it's been that way for 10 years, you get used to it.

i have a boy so i don't really like him in the bathroom with me i reserve that for his dad, however i try to make sure i lock the door
