Who needs him the most, If he does indeed get traded, where will he go?

He wants to be a #1 reciever somewhere . . . I don't think he would be happy at Dallas having to battle T.O. Atlanta and Chicago look like they could benefit the most from Lelie.

It would seem that the Chicago Bears need him the most.

Here are some news reports:
August 12
Chicago Sun-Times: "Scouts from 14 teams were at the Bears game, but reps for the Denver Broncos were not among them. The Broncos have previously engaged in some discussions with the Bears about trading disgruntled wide receiver Ashley Lelie."

August 10
Denver Post: "Dallas could enter the mix for Broncos wide receiver Ashley Lelie, a holdout. Cowboys coach Bill Parcells told reporters Wednesday his team is interested in acquiring a receiver."

August 10
Chicago Sun-Times: "If rumors out of Denver are correct and the Bears tried to sweeten a trade proposal by offering Haynes and a fourth-round pick for disgruntled wide receiver Ashley Lelie, then there is no escaping the obvious conclusion: The end is almost near."

Ironically, he would fit in best with a team (like the Broncos themselves) who already have two good WRs. This is because Lelie is a natural #3 WR. With his speed, he will pick up several big plays over the course of the season. But he's easily stymied by a well executed bump and run, his routes aren't that precise, and he doesn't like to go over the middle. Because of all that, his big plays are separated by long droughts of zero production. As a 3rd WR, he'd see less plays but put up more production because he needs to face weaker coverage. He'll get totally shut down as a #1 WR. But in terms of teams that just need any WR they can get, I think he'd be a good fit with the Chargers.

I heard a few teams need him...Saints, Seahawks, and Vikings for starters. Vikings really probably need a star reciever before they do anything spectacular.

BTW,....Lelie wants to be the #1-2 reciever....I'm not sure he'd want to be in Dallas either....that's probably a rumor.

i really think he mite go to the eagles. they lost their chance on javon walker, and they hav shown interest in getting a WR, and Lelie seems to be the WR they want, and need

He doesn't want to be in Denver at all. I would do exactly what the Broncos are trying to and get rid of him. If he doesn't want to practice or anything he don't need to be on the team.

Dallas is persuading him to come to Irvin, Texas... but that could have been a rumor.
