It's not you. It's definitely true. The theory behind that phenomenon is that many TV watchers get up and leave the room during a commercial - to use the bathroom, get a snack, whatever. Broadcasting stations get their funding from commercial organizations - so they want to make sure you get the message. The audio gets louder so you can still hear it from another room in your house, and will hopefully still buy the product they're advertising.

Yes, it is true. Many commercials are broadcast louder. I believe there is a brand of TV you can buy that blocks that feature and causes everything to come in at the same volume. Years ago I checked it out, but the quality of the other features wasn't as good as the top rated TVs.

My television do it too and has to coach down the quantity for the period of commercials. The station isn’t turning up the quantity whilst the commercials run, yet that’s no longer the excellent answer. in any different case, you wouldn’t ought to realize for the distant to coach down the quantity throughout the time of the commercial destroy. . The Federal Communications fee does not enormously alter the quantity of television classes or television commercials. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, broadcasters are required to have kit that limits the peak capability they are able to apply to deliver out their audio and video alerts. which means the loudest television advertisement won't be any louder than the loudest part of any television application. A television application has a mix of audio tiers. There are loud factors and delicate factors. Nuance is used to construct the dramatic effect. maximum advertisers don’t go with nuance. they go with to snatch your interest. to try this, the audio music is electronically processed to make each little thing of it as loud as possible interior legal limits.each little thing is loud – the voices, the music and the sound outcomes.” CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

It is not you...this happens b/c they know that during commercials people usually leave the room....to go to the bathroom, to go to the kitchen....this way, even though you are not in the TV room, you will still be able to hear the commercials.
All apart of the lovely way merchndisers get you to buy their products.

I don't take heed to these things. I think that it depends on the show that you were watching, and the commercial that was played right after the show during the commercial break. Otherwise, i don't know.

I haven't noticed it. But that might be because I changed the channel during commercials.

The FCC dictates a maximum sound level. Most companies will broadcast lower that that limit, but when it comes to commercials , they go up to the prescribed limit.

Yes... it's kinda like whern your are listening to a copied cd and song is luder than the other.... The different "tracks" are recorded differently and have different volumes.
Many cable providers force their own adverts for localized reigions so it's a different format.
