Is it a good thing that he is about to die, resign or hand over the reins of the Cuban Government? Will it help Cubas brittle economy if he does? Will American companies take the leap there if he does die?? Will Cuba become a important economic gain for the US if something happens to him

I think alot of what you ask will depend on the people of Cuba. If Fidel dies there's always his brother to deal with. Although he looks in Bad shape himself. I think if the people of Cuba Seek democracy under there own terms . And have a democracy they believe in then the possibilities are endless. I'm sure there are alot of successful refugees from cuba currewntly living in the US that would possibly return and invest in Cuba and help create a thriving economy possibly based on tourism.

I dont think the Cuban people want the "democracy" most people talk about.
I am sure Fidel Castro will get well. Shame to all people who wish death to people they dont even know little about.
I hope Cuba will follow a Collectivist Life in the future.
