Just last night my wife and I went out for dinner. They were quite busy, so we sat at the bar and had a couple cocktails, not too many, I had 8 and she had 2. Anyway, after we were seated and our food arrived, mine was cold. My wife said I should just leave it be, mashed potatoes aren't that bad cold. I got up to go to the restroom, and told her to order more drinks and tell the waitress to bring warm mashed potatoes. When I came back, I had no drink and still cold potatoes. She said they tasted ok as she had tried some, so I grabbed the back of her head and shoved her face in them. I said, if they are so good, you eat them you disgusting skanksack. She of course started crying, right there in the restaraunt!!! I slapped her across the face and told her to compose herself before she drew attention. Another lady and man came over and started telling me they were calling the police. I of course got up, grabbed my wife and left. Did I cross the line? I really don't think I did.

You went way beyond crossing the line........you have NO right to put your hands on your wife and do what you did to her....you are what is concidered an physical, verbal, and emotional abuser and she has every right to press charges on you and have you arrested for what you did.
What gives you the right to act like a heathen to your wife? She is NOT your property, you dont own her so what do you think you are doing!? What? you had a few to many drinks and yes 8 is a few to many and it gives you the right to act like an unbelievable jackass and degrade your wife......I dont think so! What was wrong with your sorry butt that you couldnt order your own potatos and drink when you got back from the restroom?
If was your wife I would pack my things and leave you pronto.......why should she stick around and be degraded by the likes of you.......all you will do is bring her down and leave her with no self esteem if she stays with you..... you arent worth it man......she needs someone better who will treat her like a woman deserves to be treated.
a real man treats his wife with love, respect, honer, understanding, honesty and treats her like a queen and like he cant live without her. A real man doesnt hit, slap, push, call names, put down and degrade his wife....thats not a man thats a coward.
If there is any love in you for your wife then you will get yourself some help. Join an anger management group, talk to someone, or get christian counseling.......I believe if you took these steps you might be able to save your marriage and yourself.

YOUR AN A*S*S HOLE!!!!!!!!! If you have to be on here asking our opinion then you know that you are wrong!! Your wife is not a child so she doesn't need to be punish; if you wanted the potatoes hot you should have asked for the s*&t yourself. I would really hope that you are lying b/c if not email me, so I can be your wife for a day. You would NEVER have to worry about cold mash potatoes ever again b/c you wouldn't be able to chew and you would be sucking everything through a straw! I hope you're just trying to get a rise out of someone. If you're telling the truth, you crossed that line and several other lines, and she has grounds for an assault charge. No adult has the right to punish any other adult (except in correctional settings, where people who commit assault may find themselves, and where prisoners may end up on the receiving end of the action from the guards).
If you're telling the truth, see a professional counselor and mention the eight cocktails, the anger issue, the assault issue, and the public brawling issue. There's lots to work with here. For your own safety and the safety of others, it needs to be addressed.

Well this is really a hard one, but this is what i think you should do:
You are what most women refer to as a "MALE SHOVE-NEST PIG" which is a real shame because most men don't act like you do, so you should pack your bags apologise to your wife sign everything over to her including house, cars and anything with any value and disappear from the face of this Earth.

I'm praying you're not telling the truth. That's ABUSE. First of all, she's a woman, not a dog. She dosn't need to be "punished," and certainly not for not ordering you a drink when you were already drunk. She has grounds for more than divorce, everyone has that right. You need to go to anger managment... or be arrested.
