Cheerleaders for example. I was in the 8th grade and cheered for sport. I was at an extended family function and I had to change into my uniform and leave for a game. I guess my mom got a lot of static from the families reaction and she was upset that they looked toward me as a slutty, ditsy girl or something. Being a cheerleader does not make someone a slut but it always seems to label them.

There are so many. And they are all stupid.
I have heard that blacks like certain foods. Most of the food associated with black...I like them too. So what's that make me?
I have heard that Mexicans were lazy. The Mexican's I know are some of the hardest workers. And they do crappy jobs that most whites wouldn't be caught dead doing.
And another one about all Asians knowing karate or kung fu. Crap too!
Or how about the Irish always being drunk and wanting to fight.
There are so many more. I've always wondered who started them.

Artists--- We're always portrayed as being "out there" ,not in touch with reality and of a bohemian persuasion. There's really only a few that fit the stereotypical image (I'm one of them that fit the popular image associated with artists, though I haven't yet reached the point of slicing off my ear as a gift to a prostitute!)

I think that is a stereotype i always have between genders, but this is just cause men seem stronger and can carry the heavy bags :)

Some years back I hitchhiked across America and a car full of Mexican/Latino 18/19 year olds pulls up and I thought " Sh/* this is it.They offered me a lift and took me to the next town and gave me some Gatorade.
America your hospitality was " overwhelming"

The first is that all blondes are dumb. That is stupid. I'm strawberry- blonde (blonde w/ red in it), and I get straight A's most the time. I think blondes just act dumb for the attention. The second is that all Mexicans are lazy, fat, ugly, and trashy. It is true in some cases, but not all. No offense, but it does seem to occur alot in Mexicans. I think the fat part, because of the things they put in their food. Of course it's not true to every Mexican, so we can't stereotype them that way.
