I live in IL and I herd about Cuba Rode. It is soposed to be haunted? Is this true and what are some of the ledgends of Cuba Rode? Also does the hook hand man story take place on Cuba Rode?

First off, "Cuba Road" not "Cuba Rode".

That being said, I've driven Cuba Road many times (I was born and raised near Barrington, IL) and never had any encounters of any sort.

Yes, this is one of the places where the hook hand man lurks. Even though we know he lurks in many areas, and the story is always the same, he is no less scary. Have you heard about Urban Legends. People from all over the country come up with the same story. At first there is no truth to it, but after a while something happens to transform the story from myth to legend to reality. It is only a matter of time before hook man . . .
