I can not get the mucus to flow or thin out. I have tried allergy meds, nasal sprays, decongestants and even went to ENT doctor who told me my tonsils needed to come out. However my tonsils are not causing the problem. I've also tried antibiotics. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how was it treated and what did u do for it at home to help it go away. I clear my throat all the time, cough and still nothing helps.

Do the following religiously:

Take Mucinex D in the daytime.

Irrigate your sinuses with Ocean nasal spray saline solution by tipping your head back and pour and pour until you can stand it (it will trickle down your throat a little, this is ok).

When you can't stand it anymore flip your head back down again and let solution fall into sink.

Repeat.

This solution will clear out your sinuses of the thick sticky mucus.
