I had on a orange shirt with a tan belt and some matching tan shoes. My cousin said I should have worn a black belt with my orange shirt. I told her it isn't freaking halloween and she told me I wasn't matching. Isn't it all about cordianation?I really hate hat orange with anything black.

tan is a nutral. nutrals match with almost ANY COLOR (exept maybe another nutral). tan and orange is an extremely cute combo and ur right, orange with black is very halloween-y, not sumthing i would wear unless its october 31st, in my book. plus black is more of a winter-y, fall-y color, and tan with orange is a perfect combo for summer! good choice!

If you like it wear it. Personally I hate that new style where you wear tights under a skirt but that's just me. And yes I agree with you tan does go with orange. Wearing an orange t-shirt and a black belt and shoes might only go if you were wearing jeans otherwise you'd look like Halloween. But hey if you like it wear if you don't then don't. Don't let other people decide what you wear. You should set some trends yourself or wear some cool unique clothes. Being you and not matching is way cooler than matching and being a robot.

I would say it depends on the intensity of the colors. To me, a very bright orange with a light tan makes everything the tan look a little washed out. If the tan was just in the belt and shoes, it wouldn't look as bad.

Personally, I pick accessories that contrast the other colors I'm wearig.

Orange and black can be pulled of, but there's nothing wrong with Orange and tan, you know it's all about personal taste, if she doesn't like the color combo, then she doesn't have to wear it! Also kudos for matching belt and shoes!

Orange and tan look great together. I wear them all the time. Your cousin must just have different taste then you. You go girl with your matching colors. :) Don't worry about what others say.

It depends on how orange the shirt is. If it's orange like the fruit orange, I wouldn't wear it with brown (actually, I wouldn't wear that kind of orange at all). If it's orange with a slight brownish tone then brown would be the obvious color for accessories.
