It depends on how often they listen and for what purpose. I listen to Rush once in awhile just to hear what kind of completely illogical arguements and bold-faced lies he is telling his listeners. Anyone who listens to him often because they think he has something meaningful to say is a sheep. Really they are more like children looking for their daddy.

Its not listening to Rush that makes one intelligent or mindless sheep, its what one choose to subscribe to that distinguishes discerning minds from the rabble of simpletons. I listen to Rush on occasion and I don’t concur with 80% of what he says. He makes grand leaps of logic, omits relevant facts, and sometimes he just downright lies. Furthermore, he frequently resorts to ad hominem attacks instead of addressing the issue at hand.
An intelligent fair-minded person allows both sides, both liberal and conservative, to have a hearing, and makes informed decisions on the basis of what each has to say. That is why I listen to conservative pundits like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage, though I don’t necessarily agree with them.

The ones I know are sheep. And they do NOT listen to Rush for enertainment. They take him as gospel.

Actually you seem rather ignorant of Rush. Your question suggests that he has a political bend. In reality, he is entertainment and people want to be entertained. Sorry you didn't understand that. Do you take Lenny Bruce seriously also?

I find him to be quite insightful on some matters: capitalism, environmentalism..., and lousy on others: peddles religion.
