My ex-wife has been separated for three years now. She still maintains her married name, i..e. my last name. I recently found out since her business card is still under my family last name. Is there any possibility of her reuniting with me at a latter time? Request a feedback from anybody.

Against all the hoping, wishing and praying you're doing that it's true, it's not likely. It's just easier to maintain that name then to go back and have to change everything. Consider the list: utilities, ID, credit cards, mortgage, car payments, insurance, SS card, etc. Get the point? When and if she remarries, is probably the only time it's gonna change again. Move on honey, it's not a sign she's still interested.

My mother kept her married name and still has it for the simple reason that her children (My brother and sister) both share that last name... Don't take it as a sign she's still in love with you, Sometimes it's just easier to keep it, especially for thing's like business and children, It's expensive and a waste of time to change your name back to your maiden name.

I was married for 31 years before my divorce...so I have used his name longer than my maiden name...of course I'm keeping it simply because it's so much easier and convenient. Will I even consider reuniting? Not unless they are selling Gold Popsicles in Hell.

Have you ever had to get your name changed on every document, bill, notice, registry? It is a pain in the behind. I keep my ex's name just because there are some things that cannot be changed and I don't want two names to go by.

If she did not have that drawn into the divorce papers it can be an expensive legal process to have it changed back and if there are children involved then that is a good reason to keep the name.

i kept my married name to simplify things with my children. since they have the same name... it just makes things so much easier with school and such. if shes got it on her business card, it may mean that she just didnt want to have to let ppl know she was changing names. easier to keep the same name because of word of mouth advertising. three years is a long time to hang onto something when youre getting nothing.

I really doubt it. This is just a name that she has gotten used to. She is known at work by this name and everyone knows her with this name. I would not look at this as a sign that she wants to get back together.

I think some women just keep it save the hassle of changing back, lots of papers and social security issues. I personally changed mine to my maiden name after I was divorced since I couldnt stand to have any ties to him, it was worth the hassles.

Usually they'll keep the name to match the kids last name, but sometimes if they like the name better they'll keep it too. My uncle took my aunt's last name when he got married to her, because he thought it would be better for business.

I wouldn't build your hopes to high on it. There are a bunch of woman at work who have divorced for 10 plus years and they still have their married name.
