its like a prelude to war of the worlds they set off in a time machine land somewhere wade through red grass type fields find a base type place realise the bad guys are planning to invade earth they climb inside inorder to travel back and warn everyone but it is too late im sure there are tripods involved somewhere but that might be the other book another book oh how i wish id paid more attention !!!!!!
