I like Sir Charles. He's intelligent and honorable. Would he make a good governor? Probably as good as Arnold.

Well, first he'd actually have to live here.

Second, I have a problem with a guy carping about how we do things in Alabama without actually contributing to the solutions. Over the past ten years, we've actually made a great deal of progress, and many of Barkley's comments seem to be based on the ways things were 20 years ago or longer.

I think he's fun to listen to. I respect the guy. But I think he would make a terrible governor. It's a job that requires far more savvy, and a greater range of knowledge and experience than he has. And given that he functions in the Alice-In-Wonderland world of sports, I really think his grasp on reality is tenuous at best...not the ideal candidate to send to the Governor's Mansion.

However, while I wouldn't vote for him for governor, I would happily have dinner with the guy. He's funny, well-spoken, and always interestng.

The "Round Mound of Rebound" would be hard to say 'no' to.
