Well, the first requirement is that you must be absolutely insane and ready to die.
Second, you'll only be able to drive to Panama, then youi'd have to ship your car by boat over to one of the South American countries, then continue driving, assuming you're still alive at this point.
Third, selling the car in Argentina would require you to pay hefty tax (on import) and then you'd have problems taking the money, if any, out without paying taxes...And you wouldn't want to spend any time in an Argentinian jail for trying to do this illegally.

if the vehicle is financed, you will need permission from the lender. also, check with your insurance to see if you are covered. There are probably no restrictions. Good luck. Why are you selling your car in Argentina?

Well carry plenty/mucho dinero to pay off the crossing guards and NO TYPE OF FIREARM OR BULLET ON YOUR PERSON OR IN YOUR VECHICLE!!!!! NO DRUGS EITHER You know the Alaskan highway is pretty long and maybe you could sell it to an eskimo. This would be a safer way to go

You should have no problems if you have your passport and the money.
Just one catch: Once arriving in Panama there's a dead end at the Darien jungle. It hasn't been breached. This is the jungle at the eastern end of Panama that leads to Colombia. There are no roads across it. You'll have to find a way round.
Hope this helped.

Yeah, that's a foul thought. rather, rather dicey. What if some thing occurs to the motor vehicle whilst driving it in some backwoods jungle section? What could you do? there is no triple AAA in specific aspects of south u . s . a . dude. in simple terms fly.

did you do this on mapquest? do you know how far it is from the states to south america? and you will be traveling thru very dangerous territories and maybe on dirt roads. what about the panama canal? also, you are intending to transport goods internationally, there maybe tax and trade tariff implications even though this is a one time transaction.
