the three funniest movies i have ever seen are:
1. airplane. this movie is just very, very silly. incredibly silly. the jokes are corny and formulaic, sometimes they're over the top, but you still laugh your head off!
2. better off dead. this movie is strange, but hilarious. it shows the world from the perspective of a teenager with a slightly overactive imagination. [think evil paper boys and dancing hamburgers]
3. monty python and the holy grail. the satire and the silliness of it all! this is the most quotable movie i know. ["you're fooling yourself; you're living in a dictatorship, a self perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--" "oh, there you go, bringing class into it AGAIN!"..."what else floats in water?" "uhm, bread!" "apples!" "very small rocks!" "a duck."..."bring out the holy hand grenade of antioch!"] the fun thing to do while watching the movie is to count how many times the same actors appear--because it was so low budget they had to recycle the same 6 actors for about 30 roles.
other funny, memorable movies are ferris bueller's day off and sixteen candles. classics, but not quite as great and funny as the above three.
