Montreal.
The Maple Leafs don't seem to have a vision, from management down. All thought with Paul Maurice coaching, the team will be much improved.
The Habs success will all depend on Huet, if plays like did last year, then you can write Montreal in to the playoffs. The same can't be said about Toronto.

I'd have to say Montreal. They didn't really lose anyone plus they added sniper Samsanov and traded for Mike Johnson (who is underrated in my opinion!). Sure Toronto added Kubina and Peca but Peca is useless in the regular season and while Kubina is a great D-man he's not going to help their scoring whoes. The Leafs are getting old and they've not done much to change that. So I think Montreal has the better season. However, it's all going to come down to Huet. If he plays like he did after taking the job from Theodore, Montreal will have a great season. If not it could be a loooong year!!

Toronto, Montreal and Boston, originals teams and the worst in the Northeast division. Toronto has the best shot of making the playoffs, but I would say we have 3 choke artists here

Toronto. They've made good changes. Stole Raycroft. Add Kubina which gives you a great top 4 D. Up front the kids are a bit older, a bit wiser. And with Maurice coaching....they should clinch a playoff spot mid-march.

Ferguson announces intent to re-sign Cujo. Philadelphia misses playoffs, Bobby Clarke re-signs Lindros to new 5 year deal.
