a good idea that a parent tries drugs so when they confront their child about drugs and they lie they can tell that the child is lieing?

It's not a good idea to do it on purpose, but if the parent has done it before in their lifetime, it's s good thing to be honest with the kid and let them know how stupid drugs are.

No, because the simple fact that you tried the drug and lived would influence the kid to think that there is no harm in doing drugs. If you died from trying the drugs, then the kid probably wouldn't do drugs, but it would be very stupid to waste your whole life away in a second just to teach your kid something that they should hear from other people as well and heed.

i think it depends on the person and how they feel they want to go at the issues, if you do tho be very careful and dont find out you like them because you can loose your kids, also i think that everyone in their life has tried at least one drug and that will never end people will always experiment its in our nature to be curious

No thats pretty lame. They probably got caught doing drugs and made that up to cover themselves.

no one should be that low as to take drugs, whether it is the adult or the child, its just plain wrong!

No I think you should be a better example for your kids and show them that it is not good to do it. Don't do what you are trying to get them not to do.
