Okay let me start by saying I disagree with you......but instead of just calling you a name.....(like an idiot or something) I will try to give you some more information about Bud Selig & some of the positive things he has done for baseball.

1970 Selig purchased the Seattle Pilots & moved them to Milwaukee. While I don't agree with many of the moves he made during his tenure (Chuckie Carr anyone) without Selig Milwaukee never would have never had a baseball team.

As Commissioner Selig instuted the Wild-Card. If you take a quick look at the NL Wild-Card standings this year you will see that almost every team minus the Cubs and Pirates are within shouting distance of making the playoffs. This in turn brings much more excitement to the game & also helps attendence, which brings more money into the game......

Mlb tv. This is a product you can purchase online for something like 150 dollars for a year. With it you can watch all baseball games that are outside your market area.....while it has some problems being able to watch almost any game you want online for 150 dollars a year is quite the deal.

Interleague play. Interleague play began in 1997 and has added a new demension to the game that was sorely missing before then. Attendence has been higher during interleague games and its something that you only get to see a few times a year.

The World Baseball Classic. The World Baseball Classic which began this year was a huge success & in the coming years will bring many new fans across the world into the game of baseball.

Also during his time 15 new stadiums have been built......

Anyways....it seems your main problem with Selig is in his teatment of Pete Rose. Yes I agree Rose was an amazing baseball player......but as anyone who follows baseball knows betting on the sport just isn't excepted. So to me anyways its black & white. He bet on baseball....he admits so much in his book which i did read (you really thought it was good? It seemed as if a 5th grader wrote it) anyways he knew what he was doing and still did it......if he loves baseball so much why is he doing what he knows is considered (to baseball people) one if not the worst crimes in the game? Rose might love baseball but he loves gambling more......and its a shame he couldnt seperate the two, but if you screw up man up its that simple.....

As for the All-Star game it wasnt the first time there was a tie in an All-Star game in 1961 the game ended in a tie after 9 innings because of rain.

Anyways I hope this information helps......and to anwser your question no I don't think Selig is a idiot.

We definitely need a new manager. He can't get anything right. I mean, gambling shouldn't affect your spot with the baseball gods. And the all-star game, come on, he would attract even more fanfare if he let the other position players pitch for a change.

I agree 100% I didn't really mind until he ended the all star game in a tie that one year. He is a complete moron.

I think he is a fool. Reminds me of the Amazing Kreskin or Jerry Lewis in the original Nutty Professor.

i agree. Selig is an idiot. he really needs to resign becasue he completely screwed up the steroids issue. David Wells hates him, and everyone else should too.
