I don't know how to get your favorites back, because I'm not sure what those entail...but to restore solitaire and the games, this is what you need to do:

Open up your control panel. Click on Add/Remove Programs. It will "populate" a list of programs on your computer. On the left hand tab there should be an option for "Windows Components." If you click on that, you will see an option to add or remove options or games. From that point, it should be self-explanatory how to get your games back. I hope this was clear and understandable. Oh, by the way, these directions are for Windows XP, so if you have a different OS, then these steps may vary. But in essense the procedures are the same.

System Restore you computer to the day you know you last had them.

from where? the desktop? did you check the trash can? do a restore back to a day when you remember it was there and go back
