I have been nursing my baby since he was born six months ago. It was very easy to lose my pregnancy weight due to breastfeeding him. Did any of you moms who breastfed, find that you gained weight once you weaned your child?

yes i gained weight, but I think it was because I didn't watch my diet like I did when I was breastfeeding.... I thought, its ok to eat something greasy since she won't be eating it now....

as long as you watch your diet, you should be ok

btw... congratz on you baby.... the next few months are the most fun...

I lost my baby weight in 2 weeks of giving birth but then gained it back through the course of breastfeeding (15months when she was weaned). I know you can lose weight because the extra calories it burns to produce the milk, but as long as you are aware of it and just dont start getting into any bad habits you will be okay. I didnt pay attention until it was all back on, I am currently half the pregnancy weight now. So all is not lost.

Good Luck :-)

babies do no longer income weight gradually each and every week, or perhaps each and each month. they have develop spurts the place they income lots, and then will circulate countless weeks/months gaining little or no. One enormous question -- what replaced into his LOWEST weight? you sometimes degree weight income from whilst toddler began to income returned. (babies, of direction, drop some weight in the commencing up, and generally take it sluggish to come again to birthweight.) Measured from beginning, his entire income is somewhat on the low side (3 a million/2 pounds in 4 months), yet whilst he lost an excellent sort of weight in the commencing up, his income is in all probability positive. (Did you have an IV for the time of hard artwork? which could inflate birthweight, because toddler absorbs alot of water-weight.) In the two case, at his next appointment you will in all probability discover that he's caught up, and won an excellent sort of weight. If he's chuffed, assembly his milestones, and wetting diapers, dont' situation lots in regards to the scales. (My daughter replaced into smaller than yours at beginning -- 6 a million/2 pounds. She won somewhat on the instant in the commencing up, and then bogged down lots. by utilising the middle of the year she replaced into down around the third percentile, the place she remained (with occassional jumps after develop spurts, and occassional dips off the chart) for in regards to the subsequent 6 years. )

You pretty much even out to say the truth. But you will have to watch what you eat a lil closer now. Remember you are only eating for one. This was my biggest challenge since it had been so long eating for 2. GOOD LUCK And great job choosing to BF
