Good question. Do you suppose they will have to get their cigarettes, drinks and lottery tickets somewhere else, too?

Why would gas only be available on earth?
Why wouldn't the aliens build their ships to function on something they have, just like we built cars, planes, etc., to function on something we have?
If they're building spaceships that can go so far, they are obviously more advanced than we are, so I'm sure they've learned how to use different things for fuel, the way we're learning to use different things for fuel.

We fuel our spaceships with electron magnetic power. We have found that the universe is the same as an atom. We use this force to propel our ships. We can travel at a thousand times the speed of light as you humans know it. There are some of you humans toying with our form of motion. But compaired to our technology, you are just now inventing the wheel. This message sent by brain wave 99908.635 mty. zlo

Unlikely aliens will use gas as fuel because gas is not a suitable fuel to be used for rocket propulsion.

The facts are

No one will say that gas is available only on earth.

We dont use gas to go to space.

Um.... they probably have an alternate fuel that they use. Didn't they use something called dilithium crystals on the old old star trek show? If they are advanced enough for space travel... they must have been able to devise something else that they could use as fuel. And maybe they could tell us about it so we don't have to be at the mercy of the middle east... lol

im sure if aliens were true and they did have spaceships, they wouldnt fuel it on petroleum gas we have on earth that is made of fossils and they would have their own type of fuel, if they even need fuel

If they are intelligent, I hope they use power sources that are readily available throughout the universe. Fusion would be ideal.
Or if they are like some movie stars these days, they could power their vehicles with their own sense of self-satisfaction.

But its not like we are filling up our rockets and shuttles from the gas station, either.
