If you've hoarded away a bunch of Francs, (or German Marks, or Italian Lyra, etc.) waiting for the exhange rate to be right to make your investement pay off, I'm sorry to say that you've missed the boat! Francs were exchangable for Euros for over a year, but those days are gone and the Franc is now only worth something as a collector's item. Good luck!

It doesn't exist anymore, France belongs to the Euro Zone. But when we last had francs in 2002 it was 8 frcs=1 dollar.
Now 1 euro= 6, 56 frcs.
And lately, 1 euro has been around 1, 20 dollars.

The french franc has been replaced by the Euro. When last used it was worth about 12 cents, as I recall.
