If they actually did that you would find out in a hurry that not all people actually ARE equal when it comes to money. Some would use it wisely and become rich again while some would squander it and become poor again. Wealth redistribution will not solve anything.

I am a democrat and I do not want that. However when people get so greedy as to want all the money there has to be a way to distribute the wealth. While letting rich people stay rich, I think though taxation we could lift the bottom up to a standard of living that would be appropriate to their class. It is always the middle class that suffers when the rich get richer. The hard working people that are the backbone of the country.

I don't think that's what Democrats want so much as Communists. Having a progressive tax system is not akin to a redistribution of wealth. I hate Communists like the scum of the regressive Earth they are and think anti-capitalist efforts undermine the individualist spirit in which America is founded. I also feel that all social services shouldn't necessarily be scaled back, as they should be given much more oversight to ensure proper distribution of a city's resources however.

No. That's a final step to communism... and communism (or the closest to communism that ni1 has goten, which is more like a merciless dictatorship than nithing else) has yet to give ni1 anywhere in the world (except the leaders) a better life... it just doesnt work, because people wont give up power. Personally, I think that the world should do that, but not by govnt. They should do it on their own accord. That bum on the side of the street, for example. If he sees the person who is giving him a $20, he is more likely to make good use of that $20. But if he gets a $50 check in his rented P.O. box and never sees the face of his donor, he is more likely to go buy something useless. He'll buy beer instead of a nice shirt. He'll buy some crack instead of running in that application to McDonalds. Its a good IDEA, but not practical under most any circumstances. Its gotta be voluntary. Mr. Scrooge gave willingly, not begrudgingly, because he looked at what he had, and decided to share it w/ Little Tom (I think that's the kid's name). Yes SHARE not have taken away and distributed.

The amount of money to be divided plummets when all incentives to make more money are removed. On the other hand with no redistribution of wealth we had a very unstable world economic system pre-1929 which collapsed and was largely saved by FDR's Socialist reforms.

If everybody was working just as hard as I was, and there was no corrupt bureaucrats skimming off the top, maybe it would work. Hell, the government is already taking my money and giving it to lazy wellfare mf's like the ones that live next door to me.

No! Thats just like comunism. They would give the same to everyone and there would still be poverty because they probably wouldnt take into consideration family size. most democrats are gready and selfish...they would probably keep the money for themselves.

I think the only peope that would actually answer "yes" to this are the permanently unemployed...let's call them fiscally challenged. Some believe that is how the dems "buy" votes, by promising more money to those that won't earn it themselves

That is called communism. that doesnt work.
1. why work if youre going to get a handout anyway?
2. why work hard if every extra cent you have will be taken away?
3. why invent anything if the government will take all your profits and give them to all the morons who didnt invent anything.
4. why bother managing your finances and ensurng your business makes profits if those profits get confiscated?
