I have been asked as an assignment from my singing teacher to think up 30 "Ah" words (words that contain an "Ah" sound)... maybe I'm just braindead, but it's much harder than I thought it would be to think up that many! So far I have:

Ahead
Above
Another
Affection
Alarm
Charm
Calm
Balm
Harm
Harmony
Afternoon
Hard
Bastard
Father
I'm an Aussie, which will explain why some of those words don't contain 'Ah' sounds, if you have a different accent to me.
If anyone could help me think up some more, that'd be great.

...maybe you should get another opinion...but to me the words
Afternoon and Bastard don't really have that "Ah" sound.
...but I've never taken singing so I don't know what you need to look for...

fraud, african, half, calf, AH! as in a scream, elastic, chapstick, snap, flap, tap, adhere, as, fast, last, ***, pass, mass, class, lah
