I asked a question about the French and this French man was really rude. All he could do was cuss me out and put me down. I even mentioned in my question that I was not trying to offend. I was just curious if this was true and I needed clarification not rudeness from KS. You know who you are KS. This man even put down his own French women. He was really a heartless person.

Actually this question is really about French men. The French women are nice. Why are French men rude and ********?

To the people who mentioned their race to me. Guess what, I am half American and half Mexican and I am married to a Palestinian.

KS you are the heartless one. I did not say in my question that French were stinky. I asked why the Paris airport stunk. I am getting to not like French men. I feel sorry for the French women who have to put up with French men. They deserve better.
When I was at the airport in Paris I was alone and quiet. All I could remember were French men rudely bumping into me.
So as an American I am defensive also since we are always getting crappy words from other people also. I know that my government is not perfect just like any other government is not perfect. I am a person with feelings and curiosity. Once again, I am Half Mexican and Half American with Chinese, Irish, British and Indian and my husband is Palestinian.
To all of the Egyptians you are wonderful people. All the Egpytians were very hospitable. You are unique people.

guess what?
you can't make an assumption about an ENTIRE population based on the actions of one person
some French people are rude
some Americans are rude
there are rude people in every country
and there are non-rude people in every country.
dont make rash generalizations

Please don't generalize, you'll find rude people everywhere.
Most of the French men have good maneers, so much that this is another stereotype that all French men are gay.
In Paris there are a lot of stressed people because the life is not very pleasant for people living there, so there is a chance of meeting a rude person.
There are also many French who take things with their humour, 2d degree like, so when you are not used to this humour, you think it is an offense.
And about your question about soap : I take a shower every evening and all the persons I meet don't smell. We can read a lot of Americans in Yahoo QA thinking that all French don't clean themselves, never shave, etc, so reading this kind of stereotypes are sometimes irritating.
For the airport stinking, the problem could be the carpet too old.
That's true that our airports, train stations, etc. are sometimes dirty, but this is because we have a minimum salaries in France and heavy taxes on the salaries, that makes the workforce expensive, even for cleaning.
On the other hand your airports are very clean !

Hello I am a french woman and I support KS in what he says.
How could you make such a generalization?! You have not even visited the country but stayed at the airport. On top how can you know that every man U saw in the airport was french?! In an airport it's probably 75% of foreign people!
KS was not rude. You have been unrespectful and clueless in your first question.
And he was answering your unrespectful question. You deserved it. Stop moaning and writing like an overreacting woman. What you wrote first was not smart, and you did not even give us the link so that we could make our own point of view.
I will never say that american people are as narrow minded as your are. because one person is not representative of a whole country and culture...
You can say that you had a bad time in this french airport, not that french are rude because of this...
Thanks to all the other people..

Hi everyone,
I'm this guy, Ks; I just was jokin, excuse me , but you have been rude first, sayin we were all stinky in France.....
And that's not a poor joke which will kill you..... like people told you, your question was a quite weird, so don't expect anything but the kind of answer I gave you.
honestly, what would you answer if I'd ask a strange question like yours....
And please, I don't know how you can afford to judge me as "heartless" since we never met....
But you really acted like a poor-minded person when reporting an abuse at yahoo, and even I could do the same, I won't, cause i'm used and prefer to fix my problems all alone; are you sure you shouldn't call the Fbi or even the 82°airborne? sorry to say so, but I find your behavior lookin like a bad loser one....
And you could give people a link to the post, like this everyone can make his own idea; like you didn't, I'll do it:
http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsY2pRtUm1AGXpJWruo._xiQHQx.?qid=20060813002719AAb1dpj
And I don't know where you found I put down a french woman, and even if I did I don't know this woman so it's not "my own" woman.
Wish a nice day to all, and to you too, don't mistake I didn't wanted to hurt you, believe me... I will delete my post if it can help you with sleeping. Just ask for.
best regards to everybody
ps: by the way, I have to say that I've been really (positively) impressed by the answers, they're (mainly) all great, that's not cause you met 1 rude guy that everyone is like this..Generalization is a mistake I think.... and sorry but, again, your 1st question was pretty strange, I don't know what kind of answers you expected.... thanks everyone to have such clear and good thinkings.

So, let's summarize:
- you flew through one of the Paris airports
- ONE French woman helped you
- you asked a stupid and arrogant question on Yahoo ("Is it really true what people say about the French not taking a bath that often and it is ok to stink?")
- ONE French guy was rude answering you
- your conclusion is that French women are gorgeous and French men are rude.
Am I right?
If yes, no comment.
By the way, many sources mention that the French invented the soap, and France is very famous for its perfume and cosmetics industry...

You sound a decent gentleman, not the sort of guy who invites rude comments. So this Frenchie must be really rude, but that does not mean that the French are rude.

That's a myth! Only Parisians are rude like all people who live in big cities (like saying all Americans are rude because you met up with some guys at a Yankee game). If you travel around France, then the people (men included) are very nice and happy to meet tourists.

While in France I've never met a rude French person, male or female. I've met plenty of rude Americans though. Seriously, think about what you just asked.
