If you saw the movie...did you ever go to a bar & play Bohemian Rhapsody & watch the entire bar bang their heads @ the "right moment"??!!

AND---did you ever feel bad for the kids who's only exposure to this song (or to that incredibly talented group!) was through that movie??!!!

Just wondered...

WOW! Sure didn't mean to "step on anyone's toes", here.It was nothing but a funny memory from my past, & some 'flight of thought' on my part.I certainly was not trying to insinuate that anyone should raise their kids on any certain type of music. To each their own...!Please back off w/ the nasty e-mails. Lighten up, folks!!
But I would like to say to the little girl who answered, "That's a shame, I used to be the same way..." I'm curious what exactly you mean...what's a shame, & you used to be WHAT same way? Please elaborate...
I'm really pleased to hear that you are well-rounded, musically speaking. What led you to believe that I am not, or that I've robbed my child of the same treasure??!! A simple question on Yahoo?!!
My child could only go to sleep to Enya, or Native American flute music when he was a baby.
Now, he can play Bach, & sing Buffett.
And starred as an 'orphan' in "Oliver!".
He is far from being 'NAIEVE" (correct spelling) about anything--least of all, MUSIC!

YES YES YES!!! I can't NOT bang my head ~ especially if I'm in the car. My daughter's 11 and is in that age group. Just today the song "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" came up in conversation and she had the nerve to say to me...."That's the song by Britney Spears"!!!

thats a shame i used to be the same way (im a hs junior) i exactly dont feel bad for them is just they didint get the exposre i did. my first momories of music were billy joel, duran duran, david bowie, coolio, temptations, sly & the family stone, santana.... then after that i started liking boy bands, then 80s pop, then classical/opera, then classic/aternative rock, then hip-hop, the Beatles and now jazz.

I know w/o my parents influences and eclectic listening i wouldnt be so verse. At my school i am known for 'knowing every song'. Its like after my parents base w/ music and making listen to things i didnt want to made me do my own reasearch like to lash against them and listen to hard and classic rock, which they no nothing about. But in the end it jhelps because ppl will always talk about music and if u know a lot about music you can never be without friends (i have a lot from all musical backgrounds).

Thus, if u dont want ur kids to be nieve about music expose them to everything. Ive been to these concerts too: rolling stones, josh groban, santana, john mayer, u2 and im about to see red hot chili peppers.

I was one of those kids whose only exposure to Queen was through that song in that movie....I didn't go to a bar to watch people bang heads...but me and my friends did everytime we heard. Plus, it opened me up to Queen, who I had previously never heard of. I love there music now.

well ya i did that to the song but it wasnt really because of themovie it was because its fun to sing too... which is funny couz like them i was in a suburb of Chicago... and in a crappy car...meh ya i do feel bad that queen doesnt get recognition from kids now adays.... its just dissapointing the music thats put out today because not many even use queen as a reference for their music but are certainly whether or not they admit it influenced by them.

No, but I do frequently play and scream (that the only thing i could call it) along with the song while going down the road.

And, yes.
