Everyone has probably already said this but every baby is different...My daughters first tooth just broke the gum about a week ago and she turned 7 months old today! I'm sure your son's first tooth will be making an appearance soon!

My son's 1st tooth came when he was 3 months old. The dr. told me that it can start as early as 3 months and lasts after they are 2 yrs. old. It's such a headache when they do start coming in. Teething tablets are a good way to help when they start coming in, you can get them at CVS. And you'll have to keep a stock of tylenol around. The dr. says that's the best way to help. And he will still keep chewing on everything. I hope that helps.

My daughter was 8 months, and my son 7 months. My Sister-in-law was born with a tooth, and my Mom says my oldest brother didn't get his first one until he was over a year old. Every baby is sooo different.
The average age is around 8 months, but breastfed babies tend to get their first one a little later than formulas fed babies, I've read.

both my girls first tooth came in at 3 months. It was great because they could eat solid foods at 10 months because they had a full set of teeth(for a baby). But every baby is different.

My son's teeth didn't come in till 6-7 months. They say the longer it takes for the teeth to come out, the better enamel they will have.

Mine were all different(I have 4). My youngest sons teeth did not start coming in til he was 9 mo. My dentist just told me the other day, his son was 13 mo. before he got teeth. Any time is normal. All babies are different.
