I have very severe arachnophobia. If I see a spider I basically shut down. My pulse starts racing, I can't breath, and sometimes I see spots. If someone isn't around to kill the spider, I will break into a cold sweat and soak my shirt right through, and I've also been known to vomit in extreme circumstances.

My doctor said that there are two options for me. Medicinal hypnotherapy is the first choice, but there are no certified practictioners where I live. The second choice is long-term antidepressants, which are known to reduce phobias as an unrelated side-effect. I definitely don't want to medicate this problem, ESPECIALLY long-term, so I'm going to see about hypnotherapy next time I move.

Dead birds or birds flapping their wings. Black birds. They're gross. Sometimes I get nervous driving over bridges, but it's not bad. I also don't like others to drive, I prefer to be in the driver's seat, in control.
