Socialism = the redistribution of wealth to help those who can't help themselves through democratic processes.

communism = works to the socialist ethic of redistributing wealth going further to aspire to a classless society, but in the absence of democracy that accompanies communism there is no accountability which leads to the classic line from Orwell's "Animal Farm": "all [animals] are equal but some are more equal than others". Some aspects of communism are enviable - access to affordable quality education at any point in life, and other applaudable opportunities, however in a system that seeks to eradicate class you find a false economy where basic staples are all that can be bought and citizens aspire to escape and embrace the capitalism that communism rejects. Meanwhile the leaders enjoy those luxuries and comforts of capitalism while their people go without. You could say it is a form of totalitarianism which is again an authority without democracy but overtly dictatorial whereas communism claims to be working for the people.

fascism = is anti-communist, anti-trade union and anti-libertarian totalitarianism but adds into the mix the yen for ethnic cleansing and that one people are better than another.

Interesting question - shows that in four easy steps you go from one system that seeks to provide for the people, to a fascistic state that seeks to provide for one people over another. I think I'll stick with socialism!

Don't let it be too important to you otherwise you'll get really depressed. They are all basically the same in that, you are talking about people who care only about themselves. They may profess to be socialists or whatever but they are each, individually, on their own little power trip.

Let me put them in order first...

Communism is "da dream" ( as in where you want to arrive)
Socialism is the first step to realizing that dream, totalitarianism is the instrument througn which you accomplish that, and fascism is the hidden but nevertheless face of it all... (because it segregates and divides- and untimatelly murders)

I oughta know, I've been indoctrinated in communism. (and talking about fascism our communist leader had a genocide record of 61 million people thorughout his life. if that ain't fascism , I dunno wut is)
Does that help or should I get into more detail?

SOCIALISM: every body is paid the same.
COMMUNISM: same, except you're killed for objecting.
FASCISM: the same, except you're killed if you even think different.
TOTALARIANISM; the same, except, one guy runs it all and you get killed if you dont worship him and treat him like he is god.
