Drug Addiction is 'treatable' would be a better word for it. That doesn't mean he's ever going to stop 'using' though. I'm not saying you need to leave him as I don't know any of your story behind all this, but I hope you do leave him when it's finally time to throw in the towel. Good luck to you.

There is always a deep secret in the deepest part of memory tht makes a person to do drugs. these emotions disappear when he is on drugs, tht is the reason people keep doing tht again and agian increasing the quantity from time to time. Some people dont even like to talk about it because it has a deep negative effect on tht person. The worst addiction is Cigarettes there is psychatrist tht hypnotisez u and comes with a guanratee my friend went there and she hasnt smoked in over 2 years now so i think something like tht will help him too. Addiction usually comes from a bad company and sources kill the friends and the sources and he will be pretty much left with no choice.

No, it is not "curable" they may be in recovery, but they are never cured. At any time they could fall back into the drug habit.

You will not learn to trust again until he shows you that he is worthy of you trust. That means he needs to check into an in-house rehab clinic and stay there until he is officially released. That is the only way he could show you he really is serious this time.

It is not curable and never goes away, there will always be that temptation there, and it is up to the addict to prove that they are strong enough to say no. It is hard to ever build that trust back, but it can be done one day at a time, and it HAS to be EARNED!

Are you a facilatator or not. I mean, because of the continual chance you gave to him why would he want to stop. You cut off the chances and if he gets clean for a sustained period (at least a year), maybe you can start to trust again.

I have worked with substance abuse abuse detoxifications for four years. Only 5% of the truly dedicated ones ever kick the habit.

So the answer to you questions is considering the many attempts he's made then no. Your best choice would be to dump him and move on.

It's very sad but you shouldn't dedicate your whole life to this guy.

Good luck

Drug addiction is NOT curable. It can, however, be arrested and then recovery is possible. But you have to want it.
