I would absolutely love to be 5'9 and weigh 120. I don't think you should focus too much on being fat or skinny. The important thing is to be sure to exercise daily and eat a balanced diet. I know it soulnds like a cliche', but the words are so true.

if you're 5'9" thats BMI of ~17.5, which is underweight. Women usually loose their periods when weight goes below 18.5 or so. You may or may not have gotten your period yet, but if have are likely to loose it, which is bad for your bones. Try to get your BMI up to at least 19, which for your height is ~130. Normal body weight goes up to BMI about ~24 or so, which for height is ~152. Overweight is ~BMI 25-29, and Obese doesn't start until BMI is ~30 (for your height would be ~208#)
BMI is nice to use because it's objective and neutralizes most of the height issues. Also avoids perjorative or insulting terms.
So just say 'your body mass index is such and such, ideally should be under 24 but over 18.5.' It's objective.
If you have health insurance, ask if you can see a nutritionist.
type in "web md bmi" on a browser & there is a little calculator for BMI on that page

This also depends on your body shape too. Not just your height. As long as you are healthy, eating right and getting some type of physical activity then it really doesn't matter much. The question is that you should ask yourself is what defines normal anything? Is it what you see on TV? Is it what doctors tell you? Or is it what you yourself to believe as normal? Does being normal really matter that much? As long as you are healthy and HAPPY?That's what you should really be worried about. Are you happy with the way that you are? Are you comfortable being what you are? That's what you need to ask yourself. Don't worry what someone else tells you is normal. Because really it comes down to what you want and wha is healthy for YOU! Not what is healthy for other people. So if you're happy with the way that you are don't worry about what is normal.

Well, are you comfortable with your weight?
Don't get too focused on your body size, what you look like doesn't change who you are.
I just checked an ideal body weight chart, and it said you should aim to be 125lb, with the average weight for a 5'9 girl being 135lb.
You're okay, so never think that you are too fat or you will end up in an eating disorders rehab.

That sounds just right. You could even put on a few pounds though, because of your height.
Don't worry so much about the numbers, but about the way you feel. Bathroom scales are the devil. A good diet with lots of fruits, veggies and grains along with lots of water will keep you healthy. Excersise is very important.

Yeah that is a normal weight for your age. That's not a problem. You're not too skinny or too fat.

Look up ideal weights and body mass index, but it sounds skinny, definitely not too fat.

You can always do a BMI test at http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm
For your height and weight, it calls you ""underweight"". But if you look fine then I say good for you! I'd love to be that size!!!
