How do you get you magicka up to like 400 or higher? I even see some spellls that require a magicka of like 800. I don't know how the hell to get that much magicka. When i was a level 1 i had like 100 magicka and now im a level 18 and i only increased my magicka only by like 70. i even try doing spells that follow the intelligence catagory and when i ascend to the next level my magicka only increases by like 8 to 10. (big wow). To get 600 magicka i would to increase like 100 levels. Unless there is another way.

Here are a few things you need to consider:

-What race is your character? High Elves and Bretons get magicka boosts naturally.

-High Elves: +100 magicka boost
-Bretons: +50 magicka boost

-What sign is your character?

-The Apprentice: +100 magicka boost, but 100% weakness to magicka
-The Atronach: +150 magicka boost, but magicka doesn't regenerate and you absorb spells 50% to regain magicka lost in combat.
-The Mage: +50 magicka boost.

-How high is your race's default Intelligence level? Does your character's race have Intelligence differences in terms of gender?

-Check out this site to get all the starting stats on race/gender: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Races

-How do you like to play the game? If you fight mostly with weapons rather than magic, then you might not really need high-level spells or high magicka levels to enjoy the game until you've gotten bored with your usual gameplay.

-Are there ways of boosting your magicka temporarily so that you can cast these high-level spells when you need to?

- Look around for Aleid(sp?) Wells. When you activate them, they boost your magicka by a considerable amount once a day.
- Create potions with Fortify Magicka or Fortify Intelligence attributes.
- Enchant an item to Fortify Intelligence.
- Create a spell to Fortify Intelligence (that is in your casting range)
- Look around for Wayshrines to Julianos. His shrine boosts both Intelligence and Magicka. There's one southwest of Chorrol, east of Skingrad, and one between the Silverfish River and a lake with no name.

See? There are several ways to make your character a magicka guru. You just need to look for them.

I hope this info helped you some. ^_^

To get an extremly high magicka level, a bunch of things are taken to account. Such as, is you character a magic based character? Is your 'Sign' helpful with the use of Magicka, does you class include magicka as your major skills?
That is a very slight (yet helpful boost right there). To find your best results you will want to try and increase your intelligents as far as you can, as well a willpower (even though that is not quite important). Make sure you increase you skills in conjuration, illusion, etc.
You will also be able to use items to fortify your abilities, such as do "outside" quests and find tons of items. This even includes close A LOT of oblivion gates (since you get the stones). Using the fority isn't completly "perminate" but it does raise it the most in a short peroid of time.

You will also want to complete all the Deadra (sp?) shrines and complet their quests. Once you completly every one you will recieve a book to increase a certain catagory by 10.

My Magicka isn't quite as high either, but thats becasue I didn't make my character magic based. Just do your best.
