My best friend puts me down alot [Insults me] She stole a crush from me. [Her ex, whom she was over] And she's the biggest attention grabber, and liar that I know. Hell, she hangs on any guy she can get her hands on. Even if they already have a girlfriend. Does anyone else have a best friend like her? If so, why haven't you killed her yet. [Hypothetically speaking of course.]

Are you sure you want to call her a BEST friend?

Anytime someone is like this they have problems within them self to always go after other girls b/f's, always try to grab the spotlight from others, hang on to others. She either didn't get the attention she wanted as a child, she got too much attention and thinks it should continue.

Have u ever talked with her about this? ometimes people need to be put in they're place.

I've had best friends like that in the past. Operative words being, "in the past."
Maybe you should look into your relationship further and ask yourself, so what are her redeeming qualities that make it worth her being my friend?
If you can't answer that, then don't feel guilty about cutting off your friendship. There are true friends out there that won't undermine you.

you know, when I was in the fifth grade, my best friend amber and I used to get into fights a lot. And I remember my teacher told me, "people who love each other the most, know how to hurt each other in the most painful ways"...yes, that is true, but by further analyzing our situation, I have realized that sometimes, your friend might need you more than you need them. And thats what being a friend, is all about. <3 Best of luck

Then stop the hints and just tell her. She is obviously not a real friend if she insults you and lies to you. There is no need to be nice about it, she doesn't respect you.

No, I don't have a bestfriend like that. In the first place, that's not a bestfriend. Bestfriends are supposed to stay to together. I have 2 bestfriends, 11 years now and they aren't like that. No one can tear us apart. Our friendship is strong like that.

Wake up, she is in no way a friend - let alone a best friend. You need someone you can trust, find a new friend.

No, and I don't see any reason at all you would even WANT to call a person like that your "best" friend.

Doesn't sound like a friend to me.

Try talking to her. Perhaps she has no idea how ignorant she is. If she becomes defensive, draw boundaries and leave.
