I think that depending on what kind of punk you listen to it can be mistaken for goth(by idiots who don't know any better). Like if you like punk and the singer screams, they might mistake that for goth. And if you wear just black. But for the most part the people who think your goth are stupid and don't know what punk is.

Wear less black and more neon, and listen to faster rock, not HIM and Evanescence speed, but more like Green Day speed.

OMG!!(i looked at your profile page thing) but umm i would kinda consider myself emo..but as for your answer i don't know what to say really i guess they just see someone that looks different then others and so they categorize them with the first label that pops in to their head....thats my guess/opinion...take it or leave it..â¥

i dunno, ive never gotten that other than from my parents. I dont dress punk or anything but they just dont know the difference....they really dont care to know either so its pointless to explain. But besides them, ive never heard it. I have heard that because of music i listen too im an anarchist...which is completely untrue but apparently they know me more than i know myself..... so go figure
