1 WENT THE DMV AND GOT THE BOOK
2 STUDIED THE BOOK
3 RETURNED TO THE DMV TO TAKE THE WRITTEN TEST PASSED AND WAS PRINTED OUT A PERMIT TO DRIVE. OH I NEEDED MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

i read the book and went for a written test then passed it. Is there some other way you should be telling me?
