They feel threatened. Example attention seeking people wouldn't like attention seeking people.

no one is exactly like anyone else. But I find the things that attract you to a person tend to annoy you after a while. The things you thought were cute are now asinine and bothersome. Once you get to know a person you see them and the things they do in a different way. So whether you're exactly alike or complete opposites people will get on your nerves.

Lots of people hate to admit it, but they hate who they are.... they dislike the things that they really can't see in themselves.. but if they have someone that acts, talks, etc like them, they'll see all the problems that person had (which are the same problems they have)... If people actually listened to themselves and ask why they hating the other person exactly like them, then people can change for the better.

Because they are to much alike. It's like having a clone or something. It gets very annoying

Perhaps it is a reflection of their own insecurity. Perhaps it is also that they feel some aspects of their own personality are unattractive but cannot admit or own up to these feelings.

Such repressed feelings are brought to the fore when they encounter someone who manifests the same personality traits, echoing their internal conflicts.
